Stallion of forever
Steed of eternity,
the One who overcomes, Who stands roaring on high
Unchallenged and full of disaster.
Lion of destroying victory,
now and forever:
let me twine my child hands
in the mane of Your glaring goodness
as You speed on with coronation feet,
O’ Ancient of Days
to the hour when the curse
will utterly lose its crown.
utterly broken One
lead me through this place,
that You were torn asunder to save.
lead on with a shout
O’ Sifter and Overcomer
for soon this world will exchange hands
and this night which has been long on its way
to its end
will finally die, out in the darkness.
while Your festal wine
in Your waiting hand
deep and crimson,
“Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.” Revelation 11:15
